Bruce Libin - Introductory Remarks
Bruce describes what Protecting our Futures Society is trying to achieve and what it has accomplished since its creation in 2024.
Ian Robinson - The Rundleview Greenspace
Ian addresses what the Rundleview Greenspace is, how it has been planned for, and why it’s important that it remain just that, a greenspace. Ian also discusses the history of planning for this Community Open Space and Recreation and why the Municipal Development Plan should not be amended.
Diana MacGibbon - Wildlife and Environmental Issues
Among other environmental issues, Diana discusses the importance of the Rundleview Greenspace as wildlife habitat, for connectivity and as a buffer between the habitat patch and wildlife corridor and the neighbourhood of Rundleview. She also identifies a significant policy issue facing the Town as they consider the development proposal.
Carl Pryce - Undermining Risk and Dam Safety
Carl discusses what we consider to be the main geotechnical risks with this proposal, including the risks and liabilities associated with undermining and some safety issues related to the Rundle Forebay.
